Surrounding this gorgeous landscape painting is a futuristic hope for the conservation of our beautiful planet forever and ever.
A Hope For The Future- This poster looks with an optimistic gaze into a distant future in which the entire planet has been designated Wilderness.
Based on a Wilderness Society poster that my parents had hanging proudly in our home when I was a child.
The Wilderness Act is a real thing! I just hope someday we can extend it to the whole of the earth. ;)

When I was a kid, I remember always gazing at a big beautiful Wilderness poster my parents had framed and hung at the top of the stairs. “Wilderness 25,” it said, “commemorating the silver anniversary of the Wilderness Act, 1964-1989.” It was always greeting me. A beautiful photograph of the high country, the Rocky Mountains, with wildflowers and stones with orange lichen and a storm brewing in the distance. That poster was a portal to my happy place, the wilderness. The beyond. The place where everything was purely beautiful because we humans hadn’t touched it.
